Skin Check Services & Fees
We offer a quick Short Skin Review, a full Skin Cancer Check (priced by the number of spots), and a longer Extended Skin Review. Please let reception know which you need when booking, as our skin room must be reserved alongside the doctor’s time.
Skin Cancer Check (full skin check)
Our full Skin Cancer Check runs for 40–60 minutes and has two parts. First, our nurse uses our skin-mapping system to take high-quality whole-body overview photographs. The doctor then examines your skin thoroughly, using a digital dermatoscope to image any spots of concern.
Every spot of concern is discussed with you as the doctor works through your check, including the options for treatment or monitoring. Any treatment appointments are arranged, and you are added to our reminder register for a follow-up Skin Review, where borderline moles and spots can be monitored to help identify skin cancers as early as possible.
The fee depends on how many spots need to be checked and imaged.

Please note that mapping images are not taken of the groin (covered by underwear), densely haired areas, or the soles of the feet. If you have a specific concern in one of these areas, let the doctor know during your consultation so it can be examined closely.
Short Skin Review
A Short Skin Review is usually 20–25 minutes long. Our doctors review previously identified moles and spots of concern to assess whether they are changing and whether any change needs treatment. This appointment can also be used by patients who want up to three specific moles or sun spots looked at, rather than a full skin check.

If you have multiple lesions to follow up, your doctor may ask you to book a longer Extended Skin Review (around 40–45 minutes). It is priced the same as a standard skin cancer check.

About our deposits
We have a dedicated skin room. A $100 deposit is required to book a full Skin Cancer Check or an Extended Skin Review — it secures your booking time and space, is non-refundable, and comes off your total on the day.
If you need to change the date or time, you can transfer your booking by contacting us up to 24 hours before your appointment. You must speak directly to a member of our staff to reschedule a skin check — please tell us as soon as you know a change is needed.
Your deposit is forfeited if you request a change within 24 hours of your booked skin check, or if you do not attend on time. In that case you will need to pay another deposit to rebook.
